Gems

My first gem is the dogwood. As with All gems it self seeded. The wood it provides is it's true gift, long straight and very strong. Also it has this beautiful flower.

How long had this acorn waited? There are no oak trees with half a mile!? Yet when conditions are right it germinates. I think the acorn could have been a hundred years old!

I've forgotten the name of this one, it popped up one year and in it's prime was cut and stolen! I found out that it is a powerful suppresent of some sort. It did come back, was stolen again but the first year was the best one.
